Noored Ühiskonna Heaks (NYH) is promoting a call for participants for a Youth Exchange called “Take a Role in Society” which will take place from the 24th of April until the 3rd of May 2026 in Békéscsaba, Hungary.

About the Project

Recognizing the uncertainties that young individuals currently face, our primary objective is to provide them with an enriching experience that not only fosters personal growth, but also equips them to thrive in the future. Our program seeks to empower them with the tools and insights needed to navigate these complex times successfully. Furthermore, we aim to raise awareness about pressing social issues and encourage active participation in addressing and facing these challenges, both at the local and global levels.

Theatre performances can inspire people to get involved in their communities by telling powerful stories about real-life challenges and successes. These engaging narratives and characters help audiences understand different viewpoints, which leads to a better grasp of social issues. Watching live performances together often creates a sense of unity, encouraging people to work together and engage in their communities. By focusing on themes like resilience, justice, and change, theatre encourages individuals to believe they can make a difference. Ultimately, theatre reminds us that everyone, both on stage and in society, can play a meaningful role in contributing to the greater good.

For these reasons, by the end of the project, participants will work in groups to create plays, which will be performed at the local theatre. We intend this event to be the peak of our project.

Participants profile

We are looking for 5 participants and 1 group leader:

Aged 18-25 (Group Leaders: 18 with no upper limit)

Motivated to learn and practice theatrical skills

Available to attend the whole youth exchange

Venue

The project will take place in the Gelleny Estate Adventure Park in Gyula. It is a beautiful location surrounded by nature.

Project Details

The Erasmus + Programme will cover 100% of the accommodation, food and activities and will reimburse the travel costs for the participants up to 309 EUR. There is a participation fee of 40 EUR per participant.
